It has been an exhilarating start to the new half term and we are delighted to have the opportunity to refresh standards and introduce new ideas to the Academy. Our key message is that All Saints Academy is heading clearly upwards—on the journey to “Outstanding”. Outstanding is the word that we want to apply to every area of our work:-
- Outstanding teaching for your child through improvement to teachers’ practice in the classroom.
- Outstanding outcomes for your child, with more aspirational target grades. We expect that 4 Levels of Progress will become our new “gold” standard.
- Outstanding behaviour, safety and welfare. We are launching our new “non-negotiables” – these are the things which we must see every day, in every lesson.
We have reminded everyone about the raised expectations of standards of dress and appearance in assemblies. A new achievement and reward system has been put in place to ensure students who always give their best continue to feel motivated to do so.
As you will already know from, Chair of Governors, the leadership of the Academy has undergone significant change. Although the staff and students at the Academy will miss Mr Waterworth, and wish him well in his future ventures, we are confident that we will be able to drive through the changes that will make a lasting impact on the life chances of your child.
